Greystones walking trails in your 5KM

Abby Mc Cann

Here is a map of good walks and great views within 5KM of our school. You can use https://2kmfromhome.com to find if they are within your 5KM.
The TCG Adventure walkers went on many local walks last term which we really enjoyed, including kindlestown woods https://www.coillte.ie/site/kindlestown/ , Glen of the downs trail

https://visitwicklow. ie/listing/glen-of-the-downs-nature-reserve/ the cliff walk . But there are still many more both popular and less well known which have been labelled on the map.

Thank you Abby. We need your motivation- please send in your pictures of yourself being active to ailbhemccarthy@templecarrigschool.ie.

  • With more time at home it is the perfect time to plan meals and learn to cook some of your favourites.
Some of Ms Flynn's Home Economic students have some more advice on how what you eat affects your mental well being.

Unplug

  • Now that all classes are online, it is so important you take a break from screens.
  • Switch off your ipad when you have finished your lessons and homework/study.
  • It is unhealthy to be refreshing schoology or being on your ipad late in the evening.

Try have a positive mindset

  • There is so much to be hopeful for right now. Thanks to the wonderful scientists around the world, Ireland's vaccination programme has commenced and the situation will improve drastically over the coming months.
  • Notice three things you feel grateful for each day, at the end of your day. This can anything as simple as ‘a hot shower’ or ‘a delicious hot chocolate’, to ‘a supportive family’ or ‘good health’.
